Make sure to June in this month—a new update’s here, and it’s a big one! Read on to learn about the Collection Level system, a new Hero and Evolution, upcoming events, catch-up rewards, and more.
For June balance changes, check here.
Collection Level & King Tower Level Rework
It’s high time you were rewarded for hoarding all those cards. The King’s Journey, XP, and the King Level system have been replaced by a brand new progression path: Collection Levels!
In the past, it was difficult to see tangible progress when upgrading cards, and receiving cards you don’t use in your deck could feel less rewarding. We’ve implemented this change to ensure every card you upgrade or unlock means something, with clear steps (towards sweet rewards) being made whenever your Collection Level increases.
Every time you upgrade a card, your Collection Level will increase by 1. You’ll also gain Collection Levels when you unlock a new card for the first time. Unlock a new Hero or Evolution, and your Collection Level will increase by 5. Oh yeah.
Keep an eye out for special rewards when you reach Collection Level milestones! At Collection Level 20, you’ll receive your first reward. From then on you’ll reach a milestone and receive a reward every 10 levels, UNTIL you reach Collection Level 1000—after that, you’ll get a reward every 5 levels!
You’ll also receive some bonus rewards to start you off when you log in after the update based on your starting Collection Level. These can include Gems, 5-Star Magic Lucky Chests, banners, and even a Tower Skin if your Collection Level is over 2000! For the exact rewards, check here.

King Tower Level Rework
King Tower Levels are also getting some love! We’ve made the requirements for upgrading your King Towers less complex—now, you can increase your King Tower Level by simply upgrading cards in your Collection. Check the King Tower screen in your Collection to see exactly how many cards you need to upgrade and to what level, or check our dedicated King Tower Level article here.
King’s Journey & King Level Removal
One journey ends, and another journey begins.
As the Collection Level system fully replaces both the King’s Journey and King Levels, you’ll no longer receive XP when upgrading cards or from other sources. Features previously gated by King Level requirements will now unlock after reaching certain Arenas instead.
With the update, any rewards you had unlocked but yet to claim on the King’s Journey path will be automatically delivered to your account—you’ll get a pop-up upon logging in prompting you to accept them.
New Evolution: Princess
She’s hot, then she’s cold…
Princess has discovered there’s more to life than setting arrows (and hearts) on fire, adding a new type of ammunition to her quiver: frost arrows!
Evo Princess comes into play after 2 cycles. When in her Evo form, she’ll shoot a frost arrow for her first attack and every third attack afterwards, slowing enemies in an area on impact. When defeated, she’ll leave her frost arrows behind, slowing down enemies that pass nearby.
From June onwards, you can unlock Evo Princess by collecting her Evo Shards, or instantly as a choice reward by purchasing the Pass Royale!
New Hero: Tombstone
Hero Tombstone is sleeker, shinier, and holds a skeletal secret within: Tomb Queen! She wields a mighty hammer in one hand and the power to raise the dead in the other.
Awaken Tomb Queen by activating the Regal Revival Hero Ability for 6 Elixir. Keep in mind that the building form of Tombstone will be replaced by Tomb Queen, so use this ability near the end of its duration to get more value!
Cranky from her millennia-long nap and the fact she needs to get her bangs cut, Tomb Queen will head straight for the nearest enemy building and start smashing it. She also spawns little undead freaks at intervals along the way to defend her. Their names are Perry, Sherrie, Carrie, Jerry, Mort etc.
From June onwards, you can unlock Hero Tombstone by spending Hero Coins, or collect Tomb Tokens during events to purchase her in the Undead Bazaar!
Seasonal Trophy Road Returns!
The Seasonal Trophy Road is back… with a vengeance! Returning as the Multi-Deck Seasonal Trophy Road, you’ll be presented with a new but familiar challenge upon reaching the end of the Trophy Road.
With two different Seasonal Arenas that require you to use a different deck in each, you’ll have to fully master your Collection and experiment with different cards in order to succeed.
Good luck… and you might want to read up on the Seasonal Trophy Road here first.
